INGREDIENT NOTES

See the recipe card below for ingredient quantities and complete instructions.

  • Chocolate Chips – Milk chocolate or semi-sweet chocolate chips will work.
  • Butter – Make sure you use unsalted softened butter for this recipe.
  • Egg – Use a room temperature egg for even baking.
  • Ice Cream – Completely optional, but I highly recommend serving this with a good quality vanilla ice cream.
Ingredients for cookie.

TOP TIPS

  • If you like a soft and gooey cookie, don’t overbake this! However, if you like your cookies well done, bake it until a knife inserted in the center comes out clean.
  • Feel free to customize your cookie skillet by adding nuts, dried fruit or a mix of milk and dark chocolate chips.
  • If you don’t have a 10” cast iron skillet, you can use a similar-sized oven safe dish, keep in mind the baking time may change.
